The Story: "The Negative-Crisis on Earths One-Two!" by Gardner Fox, Mike Sekowsky, and Sid Greene. Picking up where we left off last issue, some of the heroes get infected by the same radiation that's in the spheres and turn them evil!
Hourman tries to punch out Superman; luckily Superman doesn't pick up Rex Tyler and throw him into the sun. Of course, eventually the radiation wears off and everybody comes to their senses!
Roll Call: Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow
Notable Moments: Gardner Fox used Johnny Thunder's T-Bolt as a guy who could do anything at any time; even as a kid I never understood why he was stuck with Johnny Thunder, who was always written as a goofy idiot.
How are you putting Green Arrow fist to fist vs. Hawkman there? I think Ollie's only chance is against Ted Grant, there. Even then, it's mental...
ReplyDeleteoh, i still think Hawkman would win, it just wouldn't be the historic ass-kicking that the other three JLAers would hand out.
ReplyDeleteHaha, yeah...Hawkman is the only one on the Society side that has even a ghost of a chance. He'll stomp Arrow, then get slaughtered by the other Leaguers. This sounds like a cool issue...I may have to track that one down.
ReplyDeleteI didn't mean you personally Rob. I don't hold you responsible for Green Arrow vs. Hawkman on the cover.
ReplyDeleteObviously they're pitted against each other for that Left and Right tension going on between them.
That said, I think Hawkman would historically bludgeon Green Arrow. There isn't even ears for Ollie to pull on should he get close enough.
